Trainings for Educators
We currently have a participatory science program curriculum in rocky intertidal ecosystems available for use, public link is pending peer-reviewed manuscript acceptance. Please reach out to rtanner@chapman.edu for the materials ahead of publication.
For educators interested in evaluating their classroom-based research experiences for inclusion and sense of belonging among participants and students, please visit the supplement of this article for a tested survey:

Trainings for Community Members
Nudibranch Field Sampling
We have a new initiative to develop community science tools for exploring the intertidal zone in your backyard! Led by Researcher Lorena Munoz, we will host a series of "BioBlitz" activity days at local rocky beaches in Orange County and Los Angeles County during Summer 2022. Perfect for families, students, and community members of all ages and backgrounds! No experience needed. We will teach you how to look for sea slugs in the intertidal zone and contribute the data for use in real scientific research, as well as how to use iNaturalist. This training will be available in English and Spanish. Please fill out the below contact form to sign up for email alerts about our upcoming events and registration!
